Yes, our community is monitored and recorded in order to identify and address criminal activity. Upon request, we provide law enforcement information to keep our neighbors safe.
Residents are responsible for placing their trash and recycling bins at the street on designated pick-up days. Containers should be removed from streetside at the end of the pickup day.
If you are traveling or otherwise unable to remove your containers on pickup day, kindly ask a neighbor to help move your containers back to your residence.
Pickup Schedule: Refer to the official City of Pelham Schedule and Map at this link.

Yes, Pelham, Alabama has a leash law. The law states that "dogs should be kept inside, on a leash, or in a fence. Dogs are considered to be under restraint when they are controlled by a leash, cord, chain, or similar means."
Be considerate of your neighbors, particularly if you own a dog that shows any aggression. No-one in our community should feel threatened by an animal while out enjoying our neighborhood.
Through this website:
This website is the official source of news and information, in addition to HHRA meetings.
In-person, public meetings (annually, or more frequently as necessary):
HHRA meetings are held in person. We have no formal provision for online meetings. We may elect to provide an online option for HHRA meetings, however please understand that in a large meeting with 50+ attendees, you should expect to have a very difficult time hearing the participants' comments. Being present, in person, is the best way to contribute to meetings and to share your feedback in a public forum.
By email:
Approximately once a month (and no less than once a quarter) email subscribers will receive an email update with a link to an article containing information and updates.
Through mobile text messaging:
In addition to email communications, we will test a separate mobile-text-message platform because not everyone uses email. Text messages will be sent to contacts who have previously supplied HHRA with their mobile phone number. The message will include a link to the website news article. We will monitor the use of mobile text notifications across year 2024 and then determine how helpful text messages are, for our members. We will validate that mobile text is both helpful and necessary. Then, we will communicate year 2025 plans around text messaging, once we understand the need, adoption and response of our members.
SIGN UP FOR MOBILE TEXT NOTIFICATIONS:
If you would like to subscribe to mobile text notifications, email Public@hhra.info and supply your firstname, lastname, your mobile phone number and state that you would like to be added to the text message subscriber list.
On Facebook:
High Hampton HOA is a Facebook group which was established to help members communicate and share. We will also post website links to news and updates in that Facebook group, which direct to this website. Note: we do not closely moderate Facebook.
With print fliers:
Fliers in mailboxes (the good, old-fashioned way) are also leveraged to ensure we communicate with members around key issues; especially events like community meetings and elections.
